developing right now--- nevada assempbly woman michele fiori is in the middle of negotiating the end of the more than 40 day standoff at the malheur national wildlife refuge. we're bringing you details as they happen live-- during this newscast. two more presidential candidates... suspended their campaigns today. we'll have the latest from the campaign trail. thanks for joining us tonight. i'm noah bond. a large gas leak is forcing people out of their homes tonight. an apartment building on the 600 block of hot springs road in carson city is being evacuated right now. hot springs road between tiger drive and roop street is closed. no word yet on what time the street will reopen. according to the carson city sheriff's office, a car hit an apartment building and hit about four gas meters. no word on the condition of the driver, but deputies are investigating. we have a crew on the way and will bring you images--- if we get them

also happening right now-- nevada assembly woman michele fiori is driving to the four remaining occupiers at the malheur national wildlife refuge in oregon. she's talking with them on the phone as the f-b-i surrounds their compound tonight. and... that conversation was broadcast live on you-tube--- with as many as 70-thousand people listening at one time. i listented to the conversation and heard the occupiers say they will surrender at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning..if nevada assemblywoman michele fiore meets them at a checkpoint. they called her this morning... to ask for her involvement. according to the livestream, the occupiers agreed to leave their guns in their vehicles before ending this standoff. here's part of fiori's conversation with the occupiers-- moments after she landed in portland this evening. "i am with you in spirit. god is with you in spirit and we're walking out. we don't need our weapons right now. they can not fire upon you with the world watching. do you understand. the world is watching you." fiori also said to the

into south carolina.. as front- runners with double-digit leads. eh, abc news, ny. a scheduled fiorina visit to reno is cancelled. she was scheduled to speak to the washoe republican women, next wednesday. ### both democratic candidates will be in reno this weekend. bernie sanders will be in reno on saturday. he's scheduled to speak at the "real solutions, for real people" summit at the jot travis student center at the university of nevada. doors open at seven-30 in the morning. advance registration is required.# and hillary clinton plans to rally in the silver state this saturday and sunday ahead of the nevada caucus. hillaries campaign--- has not yet released where she'll be. ### the nevada caucuses are less than two weeks away. the democrats will caucus on saturday, february 20th. you can register at the door. caucus on tuesday, g-o-p voters will need

there was a manhunt with a man presumed armed and dangerous... the school was for a while... the threat was imminent. "the school as a precaution yellow, which is make sure all kids are inside and safe, and we wanted to assure families initially that the kids are safe, but we are taking this precaution." a message was also sent to the parents-- with students at spanish springs high. in that case... a junveile was found on campus with a gun. many people asked us why that school was not locked down. we learned today... the gun was found... and the juvenile was arrested within three minutes... so there was no longer a threat. ### a local non profit is out-- thousands of dollars worth of computer equipment, after a burglary. it happened monday night, at the junior achievement of northern nevada building. police suspect multiple people are involved. the burglars broke into the building... rummaged through every room and stole almost everything inside

equipment, office supplies, and even food. the president of j-a says it'll take a year to recover from this burglary. bill: just to be safe, we don't carry any cash here, but we had checks, but we couldn't find them so we're assuming that they stole them so we froze all of our accounts so it's more of a nuisance more than anything. junior achievement helps students from kindergarten-- through 12th grade learn financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. ### a new community panel is being created to oversee the washoe county school district's spending-- on construction and repair. the school board unanimously authorized the "capital funding protection committee" yesterday. the district is asking voters to approve a 781 dollar tax increase in november. there are two options for the possible ballot question. one-- would involve raising just the sales tax. the other would raise a combination of sales, and property taxes. the "public schools

repair needs" committee-- will talk about the ballot question, during its meeting on friday. ### the federal environmental protection agency has given the state and lyon county a little more time to come up with an another plan, to clean up a portion of the old anaconda copper mine. the e-p-a wants to put a portion of the old mine, on its national priority list, but many in mason valley-- worry the listing would affect property values, and economic development. so-- governor sandoval asked the e-p-a to hold off until september, while everyone searches for other ways to fund the estimated 32 to 40 million dollar project. the e-p-a has responded-- with a new deadline of march 29th, but they did offer to meet with local officials to discuss ways to lessen the impact, of the priority listing. the listing could mean the federal government would cover 90-percent of the cost, but state officials say that funding is not guaranteed. ### ?can you beleive valentines day is this weekend? if you haven't figured
